Ed Kazmierczak is currently the Product Development Director for Penta Global and works on Blockchain projects that combine with the Sensor Data, and Statistical Machine Learning. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and has served both as researcher and professor at the University of Melbourne.
His area is software engineering for large-scale high integrity distributed systems. He has worked on projects involving: business analytics, predictive modelling, and the mathematics of social networks for BetterView Pty. Ltd.; research and development of systems for crop monitoring using sensor meshes and drones for the University of Melbourne; by-wire automotive systems requiring high levels of safety and reliability for Pacifica Braking Technologies Pty. Ltd.; optimisation, unsupervised learning, logistic regression, and predictive modelling for Data Processing Pty. Ltd.; and projects for the Australian Government Defence Sciences and Technology Organisation (DSTO) as well as serving on the Australasian Conference committee including as General Conference Chair.
His research has included high-performance computational models of the human kidney, the development of robot systems in surgery and surgical training and AI for high integrity systems engineering and remote sensing in Australian vineyards using drones.
