Karla McKenna is an international standards specialist in the area of financial services. In May 2015, Ms. McKenna joined the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) as the Head of Standards.

Ms. McKenna chaired the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee 68 (ISO/TC 68), Financial services, from 2006 to 2018 during which ISO 17442, the ISO standard for the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), was developed.Ms.McKenna has extensive speaking experience in the area of standards and how standards can be and have been used to solve real world issues and provide benefits to users and stakeholders.
Ms. McKenna also serves on the Boards of XBRL International and the Eurofiling Foundation.
Ms. McKenna holds a Bachelors of Science Business Administration in Finance and Economics from Georgetown University and a Masters Business Administration in Finance from New York University.
