Raphael V. Rosa

University of Campinas
Postdoc Researcher
A vivid and curious researcher, willing to explore state-of-the-art tech-
nologies in favor of network engineering, indeed in pursuit of joint open
source and reproducible research. Nowadays, he hopes to shed
lights on applied research towards better connected societies, fulfilling
the gap between Internet governance and network engineering.
Raphael holds a PhD in Computer Engineering, a MSc degree in Computer Science, and a degree in Communication Networks Engineering.
His main interests sit on state-of-the-art SDN and NFV research topics entangled with disruptive technologies, aiming to open source his pet projects.
His research approaches three intertwined topics in communication networks: a methodology for virtualized network functions benchmarking automation, by which he stands a standardization effort in the Benchmarking Methodology Working Group at IETF; the analysis of network slice footprints through big data techniques and machine learning algorithms; and decentralized applications for partnership agreements among multiple administrative domains establishing Service Level Agreements through Blockchain platforms.
